Funny and sweet story, I've known my husband since he was 9 or 10 and I was 12 or 13. Yes I know, I am exactly 2 years and 50 weeks older than my beloved. (Three years sounds too long and slightly cougar-ish so I say 2 years and 50 weeks). Anyway, I've known him a while. But for the first 10 years of our knowing of each other's existence, he was my younger brothers best friend. Like most teenage girls view their younger brother's and their brother's friends, I could be slightly annoyed and and somewhat aggravated at the maturity level of such hooligans. For instance, why would anyone want to attempt to fart fire, or climb 40 foot trees to cut down branches for a treehouse you were told not to make in the first place, or run around with BB guns shooting birds that weren't bothering you, or how about jumping off the ledge of a house into a pool that is about 10 feet away! (Im not saying my husband participated in ALL of these things, however with 3 brothers all of these things have occurred at my house at some point or another) Girls will never understand these things, as I still don't. But back to my story, I never had an interest in my husband UNTIL we went on an ice skating date before Christmas in 2008. For some reason he was more mature, more tolerable, and much more good looking than I remembered when he was 10. And Im sure I wasn't nearly as pretentious and stuck up as I was when I was 15, at least I like to think I wasn't. Needless to say, I was head over heels and fell in love.....fast! I married my best friend (and my brother's best friend) September 27, 2009 and I wouldn't change a thing. I love him dearly and continue to find new things I love about him everyday! It helps that he's pretty hot, very athletic, a talented musician, and he has a sense of humor that keeps me on my toes. He's also very supportive, understanding, and has a wonderful heart. He's a great leader, he's very thoughtful and caring and I know he loves me no matter what crazy thing I do. Sometimes its the little things that count and he always makes sure to do those things he knows means alot to me. I love being married and we are definitely blessed! Love you honey!
